WhatsApp Tips and Tricks: Facebook’s messaging platform WhatsApp keeps on bringing new features and updates to make its platform attractive. The messaging platform has recently added some new and fun features as well. There are also some features in the app that not everyone would know about or people would often not be able to use them. But, let us tell you that WhatsApp gives some such facilities to its users, which can make messaging more fun.
We have prepared a list of some such tricks of WhatsApp for you that can completely change your messaging experience. This list includes tricks like app notifications, auto download, image download and multi device. Let’s know about those features in detail
Use WhatsApp on another device without phone
WhatsApp is working on a multi-device beta program, which is visible in the Linked section in Settings. With this, WhatsApp users will be able to use the linked companion device without connecting their phone. Users can link up to four devices to their account, including browsers and other devices. Note that you will be able to use WhatsApp Web, Desktop and Portal even when the phone does not have an active internet connection. However, if the main device remains disconnected for more than 14 days, the linked device will be automatically logged out.
Customizable Stickers
WhatsApp now lets you create your own custom stickers using the newly added Sticker Maker tool. This feature is easily available and can be seen in the stickers section of the platform. To create your own customized stickers, first open your WhatsApp chat, then click on the paper clip icon and then click on “Sticker” again. You can then upload a photo to create your custom sticker. WhatsApp lets you add an outline, crop a photo into a sticker, and add emoji, stickers or text to it. This feature is currently available for the web version of WhatsApp and the company will release a custom sticker maker feature for the desktop version in the coming weeks.
Download WhatsApp Images to PC
If you have received a lot of images on WhatsApp and you want to download or store them on PC, then you can do so using WhatsApp Web. Simply open WhatsApp web link on your PC or Laptop and open any chat. Click on the name of the sender or group and then the app will show you the “Media” section. Then select the photo, click on the tick mark and then tick mark all the photos, after which you can download them.
View Once Media
There is a View Once Media feature in WhatsApp, which basically makes the image disappear once the receiver opens the image and leaves the chat. This feature was launched in August this year and WhatsApp confirmed that any photo or video you send using the ‘View Once’ feature will not be saved in the receiver’s photo or gallery. But, every time you send a photo or video, you have to enable View Once Media.
Manage Notifications
Sometimes you don’t want to see WhatsApp message notifications. You can do this by going to Settings > Notifications > Use high priority notifications. Once you disable it, your smartphone will no longer show WhatsApp notifications above the notification menu. You can also go to the Settings section of your phone and turn off notifications for WhatsApp. After this, your device will never display WhatsApp notifications.
