Realme is releasing a smartphone titled Realme Note 1 which is inevitably reminiscent of the late Samsung Note range. A Realme 12 Pro is also on the program.
It was a long series throughout the year 2021, Samsung abandoned the Note range in favor, we discovered at the beginning of 2022, of a Galaxy S22 Ultra with the false appearance of Galaxy Note. Many fans of the Korean giant may have, at the time, regretted this choice.
Regrets that have not fallen on deaf ears, since Realme, a Chinese brand belonging to the OPlus group (Oppo, OnePlus), will launch a smartphone called the Realme Note 1.
On paper, a good competitor against the Redmi Note 13
According to an image posted by an X user, showing what appears to be an official presentation of the brand, the Redmi Note 1 would aim to compete with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 13. It would integrate a 6.67-inch Oled FHD screen at 120 Hz, a Dimensity 7050 chip, a 108 Mpx main sensor, a 5,000 mAh battery charged at 67 W, two speakers and a fingerprint reader under the 'screen.
With such a technical sheet, if it is truly offered at the same price as a Redmi Note 13, between 200 and 300 euros therefore, it could be excellent value for money.
If Realme takes the Note name, the promise is quite obvious: a smartphone aimed at professionals, integrating a stylus and productivity options. A certain effort on the design is also expected, but this will also depend on the targeted price range, which seems quite low here.
Unfortunately, Realme has, like its big brother Oppo, largely withdrawn from the European market around 2022. It would be surprising to see it released in France. The launch date would be January 24.
If you don't have a Realme 40 years old…
The already busy schedule at the start of the year, notably with the launch of the Galaxy S24, is expected to get even heavier. Because in addition to this Note, Realme is preparing to launch the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ by January 29. Brand communication has already started on social networks like X.
If you saw online that a collaboration with Rolex was on the agenda, it was probably a misleading image, as demonstrated by Le Geek Journal. On the other hand, Realme was indeed inspired by the watchmaking world for the photo block of its smartphone. This will house a 50 Mpx Sony IMX890 sensor as well as an X3 telephoto lens with 64 Mpx OV64B sensor. The back will include vegan leather.
