We can say that Netflix has not been idle. While you usually have to wait at least a year between one season and the next, the series Locke & Key enjoy preferential treatment. Indeed, while we were able to discover the second season last fall, season 3 is already upon us.
Once again, the Locke siblings do not seem safe from danger. Decidedly, their magic keys attract people. And not necessarily the most caring people. This time again, a demonic entity is after them to recover the keys. In the program ? The discovery of a new key, which seems to allow its owner to travel in time. The opportunity to connect the main plot and subplot of the second season of Locke & Key. The former officer in the British army that we were able to meet, briefly, in season 2 will indeed be back.
As a reminder, the series Locke & Key is based on the comic book of the same name written by Joe Hill, the son of horror master Stephen King, and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez between 2008 and 2013. After the bizarre death of Rendell Locke, his bereaved family moves into the mansion that belonged to his ancestors. Quickly, the Locke children discover several strange keys. And encounter many problems, mainly of a demonic nature.
It seems that in Locke & Key, you don’t change a winning team with the same pattern that comes up again and again. If it works on the side of The Umbrella Academynothing is less certain with this series.
According to the trailer, Locke’s mother, Nina, will have a bigger role than in the previous season. Which is already a good point. We also got a glimpse of Dodge, the great antagonist of the first two seasons of Locke & Key. This final season should come to answer many mysteries left unresolved last fall. One thing is certain: this is all going to be epic.
