During IFA 2022, one of the most important technological events in the world and which takes place every year in Berlin, our magazine is abuzz with news, presentations and new products.
And if LG is one of the most important technology companies of the moment, we were not talking about it enough these weeks. Until now, and not precisely for having presented a new television.
The Korean company has launched a piece of furniture called the Styler ShoeCase, an ideal storage solution for those who like to show off their footwear both when they are wearing it and without it.
The Styler ShoeCase features a glass front and protects what you put inside from moisture and fabric-fading ultraviolet light, according to the Korean tech giant.
Best of all, the ShoeCase includes a 360-degree swivel platform, a feature that collectors take into account. They like nothing more than a pair of sneakers that look nice and clean.
Although if we pull the newspaper library, the ShoeCare Styler appears to be a smaller version of the Styler that LG introduced three years ago to keep clothes clean and wrinkle-free.
Like the Styler, LG’s new ShoeCare Styler also features TrueStream technology of the company. Apparently, this technology eliminates 99.9% of germs, bacteria and dirt that accumulates on clothing.
LG’s ShoeCare cabinet uses a Zeo-Dry filter containing the absorbent properties of zeolite to absorb moisture and eliminate bad odours.
To deal with the most difficult odours, The Styler ShoeCare uses a technology that LG describes as “movable nozzles” that help restore the original smell of shoes.
And for those who want to know exactly what their shoes do when they’re in the care of ShoeCase and ShoeCare, LG’s ThinQ app allows you to remotely control and monitor machines as they go about their business.
LG hasn’t said anything about pricing and availability yet. But, as is often the case with these products, it is not expected to be cheap or easily available (only in specialized stores in a few markets).
