Thanks to artificial intelligence, Steve Jobs was interviewed 11 years after his death. At first, the news seems to be taken from science fiction, but in relation to artificial intelligence technology, we have reached the point where it is important to accept that every day we go further and that this type of machine, whose combination of algorithms resembles human behavior, they will be part of our daily lives.
For example, let’s recall the relatively recent debate about the ability of a Google AI to become self-aware and display feelings akin to empathy and compassion. Although many people continue to deny this possibility, the truth is that the doubt went so far that even artificial intelligence had its own lawyer.

With cases like the previous one, or also remembering other examples where artificial intelligence has surprised by its capabilities -including the reconstruction of the face of the Kardashians without operations, the design of works of art from stock images, the creation of false content on social networks (including celebrity profiles) and much more—there is no doubt that this technology is causing more and more controversy due to its impressive advances. And this can be another striking example.
This time, an artificial intelligence was used to interview the famous creator of Apple, Steve Jobs… 11 years after his death. This was achieved through AI technology in a podcast made by the Play.ht company, hosted by comedian and actor Joe Rogan. Only this time, his involvement was also fabricated through artificial intelligence.
The result is very surprising, because in a 20-minute podcast an interview has been created entirely by artificial intelligence, even in front of a person whose presence is impossible in the physical plane, and it was already in distant 2011 that the inspiring Entrepreneur Steve Jobs passed away.
In the conversation, topics such as the success of Apple, the religious beliefs of the businessman and even the experience of Steve Jobs consuming LSD are discussed. The answers to these questions were created with information obtained from various sources, including biographies of the tycoon. For example, at some point in the talk the biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson was quoted: “Taking LSD was a profound experience, one of the most important things in my life. LSD shows you that there is another side of the coin and you can’t remember it when the effect wears off, but you know it. It reinforced my sense of what was important,” recalling something Jobs said while he was alive.
Now, the proposal is to achieve other interviews through artificial intelligence with characters who are not necessarily still alive, but who are of interest to people. For this reason, you can vote on social networks for who will be the next candidate to be interviewed by technology in this podcast.
