We are in a year of change, where technology is going to vibrate stronger than ever. The artificial intelligence used as a creative tool is a reality and Apple is not going to stay on the sidelines. In recent years, the brand has used it under the hood, enhancing the processes that are already common for everyone on a daily basis. But it’s time to put it on the table.
The Apple Event on Tuesday, May 7 is the first step: with the evocative title “Let Loose” (“Give free rein”, in Spanish) we can imagine that we will see new iPads and a new Apple Pencil 3 with haptic capabilities. However, in the last few hours some statements by Tim Cook suggest intentions to show something more: Apple’s artificial intelligence may be hinted at just one month before the highly anticipated WWDC24.
To test the new products right when they are presented and tell you everything that happens at the Apple Event first-hand, I will travel to London where the event is being held with the European press. The place chosen to follow the keynote is the emblematic Apple offices in Battersea Power Station, from where we will provide special coverage so that you can follow all the news in detail with us.
The connection of the May Apple Event and WWDC24
The company talks about it as “a different kind of Apple Event”. It certainly seems that way: Apple does not usually do events in May due to the proximity of WWDC which is usually held in early June. It is also an atypical time: 4:00 p.m. Spanish time, which also coincides with the exact moment in which the invitations were sent last week.
Apple does not usually hold events in May, the proximity to WWDC24 in less than a month can mean a connection between its contents
This can only be explained if there is a connection between the two events. The iPad seems to be one of the protagonistsand not only because of the news we saw yesterday about the arrival of European regulations to iPadOS, also as a device that will enhance hardware AI and that can be rounded off in the next version of its operating system at WWDC24.
We can also expect news of Apple Vision Pro, and it is possible that concentrating the European press in London will also be a sign of the announcement of the launch finally outside the United States – and its landing in Europe. In this week’s Applesfera Talks podcast I have Edu Herranz (co-founder of Spatial Voyagers) to talk not only about the Apple Event, AI and the future developments of the device: also to clarify and explain the causes and this alarmist trend in some content that you see on the internet about Apple Vision Pro, which we did not remember since the time of the original iPhone – where we have been able to read barbarities based on a total lack of knowledge of the product.
