These are part of the known Pixel Feature Drop and the final version of Android 14 QPR2which are quarterly versions of the ecosystem developed by Google itself.
Google Pixel update includes 3 surprises
Every Pixel Feature Drop is a surprise and this update includes several of them. This, together with the March 2024 security patch, promises improvements in the performance and use of the phone, which is updated with the following new features as main incentives:
- Improved real-time translator: The number of languages that the mobile can translate live is increased to more than 60 languages.
- New features in the camera app: the application with which you take photos on your Google Pixel now has features such as magic eraser either Portrait blurwhich serve to eliminate unwanted objects or elements in an image and provide greater depth of field in portrait photos of a subject, respectively.
- Improved lock screen features: The Google Pixel lock screen has more customization options, widgets and extra functions.
The March 2024 Pixel Feature Drop is available alongside the final version of Android 14 QPR2, an update that provides performance improvements and problem corrections. A package that improves the Pixel experience with new system and applications updates. The Google mobile update is available for all compatible models from the Pixel 5a to the current generation Pixel 8 of smartphones.
Satellite connectivity: an added plus
Among the main new features of Android 14 was the satellite connection from anywhere for all compatible mobile phones under the Android ecosystem. First there were the Huawei models and now it is the turn of the Google ones with the SOS function via satellite. It is unknown if this is an error, but many users have already seen how the new option appears in the section Security and emergency within the settings.
However, those who have tried it claim that nothing happens when the function is enabled. This could occur because Google has not officially deployed the novelty on their Pixel phones. This feature will allow people to send SOS messages and even share location even without WiFi or mobile network involved. This ensures greater interconnectivity and the possibility of using your phone under any conditions, whether in an emergency or to get out of an unforeseen trouble.
Check if the new update for Google Pixel is already available for your model from the settings, but make sure you have enough battery to handle the process.
