Design
The overall design has barely changed, however there are important details where we see improvements. The notch disappears, titanium arrives, providing a weight reduction, we have fewer frames and a new button. These are the main design differences between the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro:
- Dynamic Island: a major design change. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a notch, something that Apple has definitely left behind.
- Titanium: A new battery that replaces the classic stainless steel of the iPhone Pro that offers multiple advantages. Titanium is a more shock-resistant material and much lighter than the stainless steel of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
- Ultra-thin bezels: Apple has reduced the width of the side bezels of the frame surrounding the screen of the iPhone 15 Pro Max a little more, so it is now slightly narrower.
- Rounded side edges: You may not see many differences at first glance, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the entire iPhone 15 generation in fact, has the side frames slightly rounded at the edges to provide greater grip comfort.
- Action Button: The iPhone 15 Pro Max incorporates a small design detail that changes the way you use it. We are talking about the Action button, a side button that replaces the classic sound switch on iPhones and that allows you to activate multiple functions of iOS 17.
- New colors: Apple has introduced a new selection of colors for its iPhone 15 Pro that offer many visual differences compared to previous ranges with shades specially designed for the titanium finish. The new colors are White Titanium, Black Titanium, Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium.

And this makes the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max compatible with the Always on screen. On the iPhone 13 Pro it varies between 10 and 120 Hz.
But we also have differences in maximum brightness. The iPhone 15 Pro arrives at 2,000 nits peak outdoor brightness, up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness when viewing HDR content. The iPhone 13 Pro stays at 1,000 nits of maximum brightness, which increases to 1,200 when viewing HDR content.
