What if the iPhone 14 Pro had even more rounded corners than its predecessors? That’s just claimed by Ian Zelbo, a render designer who thinks the overall design will be tweaked slightly to match the larger rear camera.
Why change the roundness of the iPhone 14 Pro chassis?
Ian Zelbo, which we had discovered for renderings of the Mac Studio, Studio Display, and especially the mixed reality headset, thinks that the iPhone 14 Pro are likely to present corners with larger radii. This can be confirmed by cross-referencing renderings, CAD files, diagrams, and other images of production molds. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro Max seems to have practically the same radius as the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The most plausible explanation is that Apple was forced to change the corner radius of the iPhone 14 Pro due to changes to the rear camera module. The iPhone 14 Pros are expected to feature a larger rear matrix to make it easier to use a new 48-megapixel camera system with a 57% larger sensor. This little surprise is to be put into perspective since if the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max had the same curves overall, Apple had already modified the rounding the following year by enlarging the cameras of the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. iPhone 13 Pro Max. As a result, the difference between the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro was significant.
But there is another possibility on the screen side. The front is going to be redesigned to replace the notch with a hole and a pill-shaped cutout to integrate the new Face ID at the top. The rumor announces 20% thinner edges around the OLED panel, which could cause a change in the general design.
New renders coming for the iPhone 14 Pro
Ian Zelbo won’t stop there and is actively working on detailed renders of the iPhone 14 Pro based on a multitude of sources to provide a much more accurate look at what the 2022 iPhone Pro could look like. will be made on the site of our friend Jon Prosser.
