When we are using Android Auto we want all our applications, especially the ones we use the most, to work while we are driving so as not to lose contact with our friends or continue listening to that music that we like so much.
However, Google lives immersed in a kind of spiral of lack of compatibility of certain applications that stop working, or do not work properly, with the release of the different versions of the operating system for the vehicle, and the last affected app is one of the ones you use the most: FacebookMessenger.
And it is that if you have been using Android Auto while driving and you have seen that you received notifications from Facebook Messenger but you could not reproduce them, it is an error that other people are also experiencing.
Interestingly this error only affects notificationsbecause the rest of the messages are received by users without problems.
One of the users on the Google support forums notes that “all other notifications like text messages work fine and can be played from the popup notification or from the notification page, it seems that the error is only directly linked to Facebook Messenger”.
As usually happens in these cases, Google has not provided a quick solution to the community’s complaints, although it seems to be a problem that is not widespread at the moment, so it is unknown if it will end up being patched.
In the latest Sensor Tower report, Facebook Messenger was listed as the 8th most downloaded global app in the world.
