Google’s Data Transfer Tool will improve to make it easier to move to a new device, allowing you to transfer data at full speed. For its part, AnTuTu has just revealed the list of the fastest Android devices of the moment. Finally, the French seem to know many methods to circumvent the various blocking of illegal sites. Come on, here we go for the recap of the day for Monday May 6, 2024.
Google will make data transfers simpler
Google is working to improve its data transfer system between an old and a new Android smartphone. The process should be faster, using both cable and Wi-Fi connections to get the highest transfer speed. Additionally, a new “Anytime Restore” feature will recover data from an old smartphone to a new one at any time, without the need for a factory reset on the receiving device.

AnTuTu has released its ranking of the most powerful Android smartphones for April 2024, with the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro leading the flagships and the OnePlus Ace 3V as the mid-range leader. Gaming phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 dominate the high end, while the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 impresses in the mid-range segment, sometimes surpassing last year’s high-end chips.

Blocking illegal sites does not stop the French
An Arcom report reveals that the French mainly circumvent the blocking of pirate sites by using VPNs (49% of French people know what they are) and modifying DNS (23% understand it). Of the 29% who have used a VPN in the past year, 57% engage in illicit activity online, even if they don’t openly admit it. These figures obviously raise questions about how effective blocking piracy sites really is.
