One more year, Movistar decides to warm up the engines to the Platinum Awards of this 2023. And it is that, as has happened in other years, the blue operator launches a new channel related to the best of cinema and series in Spanish. Although, as always when events of this type take place, we are dealing with a temporary channel that will not remain forever on the Movistar Plus+ channel grid.
The operator continually goes renewing its channel catalog so as not to always stay with the same. And, for this very reason, a new temporary channel arrives on the television platform of the telephone company. In addition to the fact that it is totally related to some awards that will be held in April at the Municipal Palace of IFEMA Madrid.
Platinum arrives for Movistar+
The operator has already accustomed us to temporary channels based on events in the audiovisual industry. For this very reason, Movistar Plus+ and the Platino Awards have wanted to renew their alliance for another year to ‘strengthen the Spanish audiovisual industry and disseminate fiction in Spanish‘. That is why once again it premieres on the operator’s television programming Platinum by M+.
With the aim of continuing to support movies and series in Spanish, the operator’s TV platform once again includes this channel. Although, as we said, it is not forever. Will be available from April 12 to 24. In addition, from the television of the blue operator they continue with their ‘support work to give greater visibility to Spanish and Ibero-American films and series and to promote our cultural legacy‘.
Series and movies in Spanish
The Platino Awards will take place on the 22nd of next month, so they give us two extra days so that we can continue enjoying some of the the films that are candidates for the Platino Awardsas they are:
- ‘as beasts‘ (6 nominations).
- ‘Five little wolves’ (6 nominations).
- ‘Alcarràs’ (3 nominations).
- ‘model 77‘ (2 nominations).
- ‘Pig’ (2 nominations).
- ‘Tadeo Jones 3. The emerald table‘ (1 nomination).
- ‘Unicorn Wars’ (1 nomination).
- ‘Maixabel’ (Best Female Performance).
- ‘Ainbo, the Amazon Warrior’ (Best Animated Film).
- ‘Mediterranean’ (Best Director of Photography).
- ‘Memory‘ (Best Sound Direction).
However, not all the content that can be followed through this channel that will premiere on Movistar Plus+ will be movies, but we also find some original series from the platform of the blue operator, such as:
- ‘Blackout‘.
- ‘Madrid burns’.
- ‘Easy’.
- ‘Unit‘ -Season 2.
- ‘Rapa’ – Season 1.
In any case, within the channel ‘Platinum on Movistar Plus+’ it will occupy the space of Spanish Cinema on M+ for a few days on dial 19. What is certain is that between those dates it will be possible to follow the best of the production of movies and series in Spanish. However, these contents that we have seen are only some of the contents that can be enjoyed on this temporary channel of the operator, since many others can be seen from this new option that will be available from April 12 to 24, 2023.
