Apple logically plans to extend its new notch, the Dynamic Island, to all four iPhone 15 models that will be released next year, according to renowned display technology analyst Ross Young. This feature is currently exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
New for all models
In a tweet, Ross Young said he expects the Dynamic Island to be available on the standard iPhone 15 models. However, he still doesn’t expect the base iPhone 15 models. iPhone 15s come with an LTPO display, hinting that the devices will continue to lack 120Hz support – dubbed ProMotion by the firm – and an always-on display option like the ” Pro”.
The one that has been dubbed by Apple the dynamic island is a pill-shaped area surrounding the Face ID sensors and the front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro. The feature can show system alerts for things like incoming phone calls and the Face ID authentication prompt, and it will also work with Live Activities in third-party apps when iOS 16.1 is released later this year.
Yes, Dynamic Island expected on standard models on the 15. Still not expecting 120Hz/LTPO on standard models as supply chain can’t support it.

In the past, Young has accurately revealed that the iPhone 13 Pro models and the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros will come with 120Hz capability, the iPad mini 6 will come with an 8.3-inch display, that the latest MacBook Air M2 is said to have a slightly larger 13.6-inch screen, and more, to top-notch credibility.
Finally, remember that the iPhone 15 should be the first Apple phone to adopt USB-C.
