A better experience on Microsoft devices
Although on the Mac, Apple replaced the ubiquitous iTunes for the TV, Music (just when Apple Music has exceeded 100 million songs in the catalog) and Podcasts apps, in Windows this change did not occur. In the Microsoft operating system we continue to go to iTunes to access many of Apple’s services, but this has its days numbered.
Microsoft has announced that the Music app, possibly dubbed Apple Music, and the Apple TV app will be coming to Windows 11 before the year is out. They will do it via the Microsoft Storewhere we have already seen the Apple Music app for the Xbox arrive.
Apple will also bring iCloud Photos integration to Windows, allowing iPhone users to access all photos and videos in the Windows 11 Photos app. A step that will avoid having to go to iCloud.com to manage our photo library.
Apple has been expanding in-house services to third-party platforms for some time. With the arrival of iCloud Photos integration with Photos and dedicated apps for Apple TV+ and Apple Music, Windows users with an eye to the Apple ecosystem will have much easier to enjoy all the services from any of your devices.
