Apple Music wants you to hear your artists live too!
Apple Music is one of the apps that Apple seems to be more focused on lately. After releasing increasingly specific proposals, or announcing events with the most popular artists in the world, this week the service confirmed the arrival of a new feature that will allow music fans to be aware of the events of their favorite artists.
The ability to discover events will be available in 40 new guides that have been selected by the editors of Apple Music. These guides focus on highlighting the “best places to experience live music in some of the world’s top cultural centers.” Each guide will also display upcoming shows for that venue directly from Apple Maps, powered by Shazam.
The functions that will be available from today they intend to share the best of the world music scene. From Apple they affirm:
From the iconic Symphony Halls of Vienna to cutting-edge techno clubs in Brooklyn and Tokyo, these handpicked selections, currently spanning more than 10 cities, are everything music fans need for an unforgettable night.
For now, the cities where Apple Maps guides will work they include Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, and San Francisco in North America; Berlin, London, Paris and Vienna in Europe; Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney in the Asia-Pacific region; and Mexico City in Latin America.

In addition, Apple Music is rolling out a new Playlists feature that “shines a light on a selection of major tours”. This allows fans to listen to set lists for specific shows and read about the show’s production.

To take advantage of this function you just have to go to Apple Music and follow the following steps:
- Open Apple Music and choose the Browse tab at the bottom.
- Select Set Lists at the top (you can also use the search tab to find it).
- Scroll through the featured artists in the song list, tap one to play (or save the playlist).
