It’s been a long time since Apple made major changes to the web-based iCloud.com interface. Even if it is far from lacking in modernity, a little refreshment is always welcome, especially for users who are used to connecting to it daily to check their emails.
A preview of the new iCloud.com
A brand new interface will soon be deployed for iCloud.com visitors, it will aim to provide full visibility on the different sections of iCloud (Mail, Drive, Calendar…) from the home page!
Apple wishes through this approach to offer a direct access the whole iCloud universe at a glance, no need to select a specific service then return to the home page to access another service to see only a simple piece of information.
Apple Park developers have taken the design one step further, as the home page will be customizableyou will be able to choose your favorite applications in preview and delete the ones that do not interest you.
Apple has also brought minor changes toolbars and button locations to simplify the user experience.
If you want test now iCloud’s new interface (still in beta) just log in to beta.icloud.com with your iCloud account ID and password. The new look is expected to extend to the main iCloud website when Apple has corrected all the little design flaws that can quickly stand out while browsing.
