Apple today released its 16th annual People and Environment in Our Supply Chain report for 2022. Previously known as the Supplier Responsibility Report, the document details how Apple and its suppliers support people across the company’s supply chain, make the transition to clean energy and invest in innovative technologies. The firm also took the opportunity to announce the creation of a development fund for supplier employees to the tune of 50 million.
Apple suppliers ever more virtuous

A 50 million fund for the development of supplier employees
Apple also announced the creation of a new $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, which the company says will expand access to learning and skills development opportunities for people in its supply chain. Apple said this fund also includes new and expanded partnerships with advocates, universities and nonprofits.
Apple said the new educational programs will initially be available to vendor employees in the United States, China, India and Vietnam. By 2023, Apple expects more than 100,000 supplier employees to participate in new learning opportunities, ranging from leadership training and technical certifications to courses in coding, robotics and fundamentals. advanced manufacturing, including green manufacturing.
