In this insane new movie, everything points to Bambi going after the hunter who killed his mother for revenge.
Transforming iconic Disney characters into bloodthirsty killers seems to be a trend. Not long ago we told you the crazy idea behind Pooh: Blood and Honeya movie where Winnie the Pooh reveal your wildest side and he becomes a serial killer in the purest slasher style.
However, while Pooh turned killer is scary enough on its own, now there’s another great Disney emblem that is seeking bloodthirsty revenge. It is about the adorable Bambi, the iconic fawn, but in this movie it will be anything but adorable.
There is still not much information about this terrifying new version of the Disney classic, but Scott Jeffreyits director, has already confirmed the title: Bambi: The Reckoning (Bambi: The reckoning). You don’t have to know the horror movie synopsis to guess that if this is about a reckoningthe hunter responsible for the death of Bambi’s mother he has gotten himself into quite a mess.
It seems that Bambi will unleash his wildest side and he will become a hunter himself. Jeffrey already anticipates that in his movie, the popular fawn it will be unrecognizableand we will see first hand the madness and destruction that can sow a bloodthirsty rabid Bambi:
“In this film Bambi will become a vicious killing machine that lurks in the thickets. The film will be a very dark alternate retelling of the classic 1928 story we all know and love. But this time… get ready for the Bambi! rabid!”
Bambi’s character will be in the public domain next year, this could just be the beginning
Details of the movie remain scant, but the goal is release it in 2023 (production is scheduled to start in January of next year), which is when the director has carte blanche to use the character to your liking. And that is the reason why so many cartoon emblems are now being used in twisted and bizarre productions, because they have passed into the public domain. The original novel of Felix Salten, Bambi: A Life in the Woods, was published in 1923, and will be one hundred years old next year. This, in addition to quite an achievement for its creator taking into account how it has transcended in our culture, it means that the characters in the novel they become public domain.
Jeffrey has said that for the design of Bambi will be inspired by the movie The Ritual, but unfortunately we have not yet been able to see a sketch. We remember that Disney is preparing a live-action Bambi movie on his own, but of course we find the idea of a bloodthirsty murderous Bambi much more interesting.
