The day has come, Google has just launched its own alternative to ChatGPT and, from now on, it will be available to compete with the AI that has been making headlines since it was released on the internet. The name that Google has given to its chatbot with artificial intelligence is Bard and, although it sounds like the character from The Simpsons, this one is smarter.
There hasn’t been any kind of surprise with the launch of Bard except the speed with which Google has decided to launch this alternative to ChatGPT. And, it is that, just a few weeks ago it was possible to see that Google was working on this model of artificial intelligence conversational and that would use its AI model known as LaMDA.
LaMDA may not be a popular AI based on what has been seen in conversations with this AI. In fact, a Google engineer conducted an interview with the AI and the statements were somewhat creepy overall. Of course, we will have to see how Bard integrates and if things have changed.
It has been the price Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, who has given the news about Bard to users. He has done so by publishing a tweet on Elon Musk’s social network and also on Google’s official blog, this second location being the most interesting since it explains, although not too much, how Bard works.
ChatGPT has direct competition and comes hand in hand with Google: this is Bard
sundar pichai He hasn’t offered many details about Bard, though he does talk a lot about how promising this AI will be in Google products. And, is that, Google has the ability to integrate this artificial intelligence into any product they have, such as their search engine and, in fact, that is what they plan to do.
By keeping this in mind, what Google intends to do is ensure that Bard has a greater interaction with users and, therefore, can adapt more quickly to the real world. The purpose is to be able to offer answers that are much faster, more complex and that users can understand.
2023 is set to be the year in which AI will lead the way in technology. Now Google has its own and we will only have to wait for the rest of the companies to launch their versions, although other companies prefer to bet on OpenAI and its ChatGPT, as is the case with Microsoft.
