Google has added a nifty feature to Chrome on iOS that lets you quickly open external links from other apps using Incognito. This is particularly useful on shared devices or simply for those who wish to avoid leaving any traces.
Google Chrome improves privacy
The default behavior is to load links next to your already open tabs where your cookies and account credentials are shared. By opening in mode Incognitoyou are completely anonymous from version 107.
To do this, you just have to activate the option “Ask to open links from other applications in Incognito mode” in the settings of Chromium > Privacy and Security.
The first time, you will be entitled to an explanatory screen called “Open in incognito?” and which explains that the URL you are about to open will be in private browsing session, without impact on the history and “other people who use this device”. You will also not be prompted to save the information entered in the forms.
Enabling this setting is useful for home iPads, which still don’t offer multi-user capability. At the same time, it’s also ideal if you need to log in to other accounts without having to manually copy URLs and open Incognito.
Version 107 of Chrome for iOS was quickly replaced by version 108 yesterday, which now shows favicons next to site credentials in your Google Password Manager and in extensions from information providers. identification.
Are you still using Safari or have you set up a default browser on iOS?
