Where to sell your computer online
Before launching to sell your old computer, we recommend that you make sure that you have eliminated any personal data of yours that you may have (in fact the safest thing is to destroy the hard drive and sell it without it, or even buy a new one or second-hand to replace yours, but that’s up to you), as well as get an assessment of what would be a fair price to sell it for. If you make it too expensive no one will be interested in it, but if you sell it too cheap you will be losing money.
That said, let’s see which are the places where you can safely sell your old computer, starting with online sites.
wallapop
This is surely the most used platform to sell second-hand things in Spain. It provides a good showcase in which, despite the fact that sales by hand prevail (for this reason, the catalog is usually ordered by distance from the seller), although they also have the application’s own delivery system. You can upload your product directly from your mobile, although it also works perfectly from the web browser on PC (although you will have to have the photos on your PC to do so, from the mobile you have the advantage of being able to take the photos at the moment).
A personal piece of advice that we give you if you intend to sell your old PC on Wallapop is to stretch the price a bit, because on this platform they will always, always try to haggle over the price.
eBay
This is still one of the best platforms to sell second-hand goods on, even though it has fallen in popularity due to the fees and commissions it carries. If you are going to sell on this platform, you can be sure of security for yourself, but keep in mind the commissions because sometimes users do not take them into account and then they get the surprise.
Also keep in mind that this platform has almost become a showcase for professionals, so it will probably cost you more to sell your old PC here than on other sites.
Milanuncios, second hand, etc.
There are many other websites where you can register and sell your old computer without too many problems, although they act as a simple showcase and, really, they do not have the same traffic and impact as the previous two. Websites like Milanuncios or Segundamano are ideal for their simplicity, yes.
Sell your old computer in a physical store
The above options are designed to sell your old PC to another user, in the second-hand market. However, there are also physical sites that will buy your computer if you take it with you, although you must bear in mind that they will pay you quite little for it (in fact the price will be set by them) since they will later want to sell it again for more money to to profit.
These sites are for example Cash Converterswhich have many stores throughout Spain where you can take your PC with you, although they also have a service that allows you to send it to them by courier.
There are other companies that work in a similar way, such as Info-Computer, Borax or LotesPC, where you will find a very similar situation, but it is still ideal for people who do not want to complicate their lives when selling their old PC and, even if they get less money, avoid complications.
