According to Elon Musk’s latest tweet, the proliferation of streaming offers would result in the rise of piracy. An observation that is surely verifiable but to which we cannot do much.
Elon Musk judges the world of streaming
Elon Musk is active on social networks and especially on Twitter. He often responds to customers owning a Tesla or simply to give his opinion on such and such a subject. The latest concerns Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision regarding the Freedom convoy, which he considers inadmissible.
Just yesterday, Musk cracked a new tweet that is sure to get people reacting. On its publication, we find the legendary meme (distracted-boyfriend), which you have surely already seen at least once in your life given its popularity since the summer of 2017. On this one, streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+… seem to be ignored to the detriment of piracy.
As you know, with the democratization of video streaming platforms, piracy had lost its luster in recent years and it was not to displease the creators of films and series. Except that lately, more and more of them are getting into the deep end, which is causing consumers to get frustrated and go back to piracy sites.
Indeed, if you want to subscribe to all the services, the bill can quickly turn out to be boiling. Result of the accounts, a good number of users choose to pay for one or two services but in return, they illegally download the contents of the others. Hence the photo of Musk, too much service kills service.

The objective is not to criticize but rather to make an observation. It is true that it is nice to have so many different offers at our disposal, but it is also obvious that it generates frustration for some people, not being able to access all the services. End of story, piracy is starting to rise again after years of decline.
