The European Union wants to bring back removable batteries on smartphones
Planned obsolescence and electronic waste are among the biggest problems in the phone market, which is why the European Union is considering forcing phone manufacturers to use removable batteries in their devices. The Parliament recommends that the battery of “all consumer electronic devices and light means of transport” should be easily replaceable.
