Presto solves a common iPhone problem without even touching it!
The Apple Store always has attractions, beyond the devices, that invite us to get lost in it. And luckily, for technology fans and clients of the firm, it is a cycle that does not stop. Thus, the new attraction of physical stores in the United States is “Presto”, a machine that updates the iPhone in its sealed box to the latest version of iOS wirelessly.
Starting this week, employees and customers at several Apple stores in the United States have begun testing “Presto.” As Mark Gurman described it a few months ago in his “Power On” column, it is a pad-like device. The real image has made it possible to verify that the software update process can be carried out with six iPhones at the same time.

Presto was developed by Apple’s Backstage Operations team, which designs tools for technicians and retail store employees. The idea sought to solve the sale of iPhones in retail stores with outdated software and thus prevent customers from having to update their device immediately after taking it out of the box.
Last year, The iPhone 15 series shipped with iOS 17, but Apple subsequently released iOS 17.0.1 before the devices were released. The update was necessary to fix an issue that prevented data transfer directly from another iPhone during the initial setup process.
According to a publication by MacRumors,For now, “Presto” will arrive at all Apple Stores in the United States before summer. While stores in other countries have also received information about its use.
