Get your free Renfe season ticket
The first thing we must bear in mind is that we can benefit from these subscriptions for both commuter and medium-distance travel, travel on Avant trains (although here it is something different, as we will see a little later) and for the Metric Width.
Register as the first step
To do this, the first thing we must do is register beforehand. on the Renfe.com website or on the Renfe and Cercanías Renfe app. If we choose to register through the website, we will only have to go to to this website and click on the bottom right where it says Sign me up.
Once inside this registration website we will have available three types of record: basic, advanced and More Renfe registration. We recommend that you do not choose the basic one, since this way you will not be able to buy through the Renfe app. If you choose the advanced field, for example, you will have to enter the following data for it: email, ID, mobile phone, password, name and surname, title, date of birth, nationality, country of residence and postal code. Nothing happens if you choose a basic or advanced registration, later you can choose a higher one.
If you prefer, you can also use the Renfe app to register. This registration will be equally valid regardless of the way you choose, so you will not have a problem if you do it this way. To do this, we will have to download the app (available for Android and iOS) and access the section that indicates Profile. Once inside, the following screen will appear and we must click on register. We will be asked for the following information: name, surnames, identification document and telephone number.
Another way that we can also use to register is the Renfe Cercanías app. This app is ideal for checking schedules and routes of this type of train, but it will also serve to register if you prefer. The way to register in this application is really similar to the previous one, so we won’t have too many problems to register. To do this, once inside the application we must click on the icon in the upper right and choose the User option. Once the following screen appears, we will only have to click on Register.
Things to keep in mind
Once we are registered by any of the channels, we will be ready to acquire the Renfe season ticket. For trips on three commuter trains, we will be able to start acquiring this pass from next August 24, and we will be able to do it through the Renfe Cercanías app that you have seen just above, through self-service machines and ticket offices. station.
