Summer is over, and the marathon season of hardware presentations begins. Today is the turn of the expected Pixel 8 from Apple.
Apple sets the pace, and the others follow behind. Yesterday we met the day of the presentation of the iPhone 15, and today Google has started sending out invitations for the presentation of its new Pixel 8 mobiles, which will be in person.
Apple will present the iPhone 15 on September 12, and Google will do the same with its Pixel 8 on October 4, at 4:00 p.m. Spanish time, in New York.
To celebrate the announcement, Google has revealed the first official image of the Pixel 8 Pro, where you can see your camera setup. It continues to maintain its already famous horizontal “strip” that protrudes from the Pixel mobile casing, but now the sensors are bigger than ever:
We already know that the pixel 8 it will use the new Tensor G3 processor with new faster cores, artificial intelligence, AV1 encoding and ray tracing.
There is also talk of the possibility of connecting a keyboard and mouse to turn it into a computer, and even the integration of a thermometer.
Of course, it is more than likely that both Google and Apple take advantage of the event to present new devices, beyond mobile phones.
In the case of Google, we could have a new Pixel Watch 2 watch, or perhaps an activity bracelet, after the purchase of Fitbit. In addition, new Pixel Buds headphones are taken for granted.
It remains to be seen if Google dares to respond to the Vision Pro mixed reality glasses, or delays it a little longer.
No new tablets or foldable phones are expected, as they were launched recently, with the Pixel Fold and the new Pixel Tablet.
With a difference of only 22 days, We are going to know all the secrets of the new iPhone 15 and Pixel 8. This time the rumors suggest that Google has accelerated the performance of the Pixel 8, one of its weak points. Will we have in this new generation a true rivalry between Apple and Google? We have little left to know.
