Xiaomi’s 12T series is set to launch very soon, but leaks and rumors have pretty much revealed everything ahead of the launch event that will take place next week. The upcoming series will feature two smartphones: Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro. Let’s take a look at their features.
The company has confirmed the new 200MP imaging technology for its phones. The rear will feature a large compartment that houses the main camera at the top and a rectangular camera island with two smaller cameras at the bottom. We can argue that Xiaomi’s latest flagship phones have one of the most beautiful camera modules we’ve seen in recent years.
Here is the expected price for the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro!
The vanilla Xiaomi 12T has a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The base model is said to be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 ultra chipset, an upper mid-range smartphone chipset with four fast ARM Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.85 GHz and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores. The processor will be paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the contrary, the Xiaomi 12T Pro may be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It will have 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Some countries may also get an 8GB RAM variant of the device.
Both phones will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. On the software front, they will run on the Android 12 operating system with the MIUI 13 skin on top. Other features include dual Harman Kardon tuned speakers, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and a solid cooling system.
The cameras will be the highlight of the upcoming Xiaomi 12T series. The Chinese company has confirmed that the series will include 200MP camera technology. However, it may only be available in the Pro model. According to reports, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will have a 200 MP camera with a 1/1.22 inch sensor along with OIS, 8P lens and 16 by 1 pixel grouping. It will also have an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. On the front, it could have a 20MP selfie camera.
The vanilla variant may have a 108MP primary sensor that can be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. For selfie shooting, the Xiaomi 12T will also have a 20MP front-facing sensor.
A source suggests that the 8/128GB variant of the Xiaomi 12T will cost around €580 in Europe. The 8/256GB model is claimed to be €630. The high-end Xiaomi 12T Pro will be available in the 8/256GB variant with a starting price of €770. The 12/256GB model will be sold for 800 Euros.
