The Mini LED is a very good alternative to OLED. This technology obviously has a cost, but thanks to Hisense it is becoming more accessible. Moreover, the 65-inch 65U8HQ TV is trading at 890 euros against 1,190 euros, thanks to an ODR at Boulanger.
Hisense, like TCL, offers affordable televisions without neglecting the spec sheet. Its 2022 65U8HQ TV is proof of this, since it offers a panel with Mini LED backlighting and QLED for a more attractive price than the competition. A complete television which becomes much more accessible with 300 euros of reduction.
The strengths of the Hisense 65U8HQ TV
- A large QLED panel + Mini LED
- 4K, HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos compatible
- HDMI 2.1 connectivity for gaming in 4K@120 Hz
Displayed at 1,190 euros, the Hisense MiniLED 65U8HQ television sees its price drop to 890 euros at Boulanger thanks to a valid ODR until March 28, 2023.
The right combo: QLED + Mini LED
Hisense is not to be outdone in its television business. Its 65U8HQ 2022 model offers a neat and sober design. No fancy foot, but a solid base to stand on a TV cabinet without problems. You can just as well hang it on a wall to take full advantage of the 65-inch diagonal. It is more than comfortable for watching series and movies, but you will have to make sure you have enough space to accommodate this large television.
To enjoy good image quality, this QLED TV features Mini LED technology, which provides more precise backlighting, deeper contrasts and offers a light intensity of up to 1,300 nits. This reference has other advantages. It displays 4K UHD definition and supports HDR, HDR10+, and even Dolby Vision IQ content. On the sound side, Hisense integrates on its television a sound system with a power of 70 W compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X.
A complete TV, but without AndroidTV
The Chinese firm is even thinking of players by integrating HDMI 2.1 connectivity. It allows 4K@120 FPS and supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and ALLM, useful for combating screen tearing. We also find the AMD Freesync which allows you to permanently benefit from a fluid frame rate for your games. The Hisense TV also benefits from a panel with a native refresh rate of 100 Hz, twice as high as traditional 50 Hz models.
As for the interface, the TV does not benefit from Android TV, but runs on Vidaa U, the brand’s in-house operating system. This OS gives access to several popular applications such as Netflix, Prime Video or Dinsey +, but it does not have replay services. We still appreciate the fluidity of the interface that you can also customize by adding your favorite applications or channels. And the assistants, Google Assistant or even Alexa are in the game, to control your TV with your voice.
