The BOE (Official State Gazette) has published an increase of five euros in the amount that members of the polling stations will receive.
Both the presidents and the members they will charge 70 euros, instead of the 65 euros of previous elections. This income is free of withholdings by the Tax Agency.
On 28M, all those selected, (you can check if you are one of them online), must appear at 8:00 am, one hour before the citizens. The day will end at 8:00 pm, with some breaks in between.
That is to say, the presidents and members of the electoral tables of the 28M will receive about 6 euros per hour to perform voter registration and other responsibilities.
It is not a salary, but compensation for diets
It is important to highlight that the 70 euros mentioned does not constitute a salary, but compensation for per diems, as established in the BOE. In addition, the figure has been rounded to facilitate cash payments.
The diet will be received by each head of the polling station and for each electoral day, even if several processes are held in it. Only those who are holders will be entitled to the dietwhile the substitutes will only receive it when they occupy the starting position.
