As all Xiaomi phone users already know, MIUI is one of the customization layers that includes more added options with respect to what Android offers us natively, but there are certain common settings on any phone with this operating system that we will have to activate manually and are hidden by default.
These are known as “Developer Options” and, as its name suggests, they are settings intended for use by system developers in order to modify certain parameters of the equipment in order to test the new functions that are being implemented, but it is a section that we can also access to adjust some options that we cannot from MIUI itself.
So you can activate the developer options on your Xiaomi phone with MIUI 13
Thanks to this hidden menu that we will find on any Android phone, we will have the possibility of being able to modify certain really interesting aspects such as the speed of the system animations, parameters related to Bluetooth connectivity or the audio codecs used, configuration of the USB connection of the equipment and a long list of options that contribute a lot.
In addition, the way to activate them is very simple, since we will only have to:
-
Enter the settings of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone and access the “About the phone” section
-
Once inside, press several times on “MIUI version” and, at the bottom of the screen, you will see that the options for developers have been activated
As you can see, you will already have these options activated, and to be able to access them you will only have to enter the MIUI settings and follow the following path:
-
Enter the settings of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone and access the “Additional settings” section
-
Now, just click on “Developer options” and you will have access to them
