Even if you don’t believe it, we are going to explain step by step how create new emojis on an Android mobile. Of course, it will depend on the keyboard you are using on the smartphone. More than anything, because we will have to use Gboard, that is, the tool that Google itself designed for terminals at the time. Within this app, or software, we find that, for some time, it has offered us a really interesting alternative so that we can give free rein to our imagination. And all thanks to the fact that it allows us to combine decals.
What you need
We had already warned you first that the essential requirement will be to use the Google keyboard. So, if you don’t have it on your Android terminal, we’ll show you how to install and configure it by default. Without it, it will be impossible for you to reach combine emoji to design completely renovated ones that have nothing to do with what you had on your smartphone.
Therefore, the first thing will be to download Gboard from the app store of your phone. We make it very easy for you, since we leave you the link so that you can go directly to download it and do not waste any more time on your account:
Now, once we have it installed on the mobile, we must set it as default. In other words, what we will do is configure it so that the phone uses it whenever we want to write a message.
To do this, we must go to the smartphone settings> go to the System section> tap on the Languages and text input tab> On-screen keyboard> tap on Manage> mark the Gboard option and deselect the one that comes by default in your terminal (although these steps may vary depending on the Android customization layer used by our device).
After all this, we will have already managed to configure the Google tool as the default writing app on Android, so we can move on to the next section.
Create emojis on mobile
Once we have it configured so that the terminal uses it by default, it is time to see what settings have to be activated. Therefore, we must enter Settings > Languages and text input > On-screen keyboard > gboard. Within this section, we will have to look for the Emojis, stickers and GIFs option. Finally, we will have to enable the function emoji stickers.
This tool already makes it clear to us what it will do for us: ‘Suggests stickers when emojis are selected on the keyboard’. After this, it will be enough to deploy this writing tool in any app in which it can be used. Depending on the configuration of each smartphone, we must leave the comma button pressed or touch the key that has a smiley face icon.
When deploying this smartphone software tool, please test and select two emojis of the ones you like the most. Automatically, Gboard will recommend a completely new one which does not come by default in the keyboard stickers table. It will be displayed on the left (we can see it in the following image).
Does it work with everyone?
From the first, it is clear that creating emojis and new stickers or decals for the smartphone is only limited by the imagination. There will be few occasions when, when we get together, really funny emojis are not created, as well as surprising. However, we will only be able to combine two options to design a totally original one. That is, if we try to put three at the same time, it will take the last two to show us a suggestion.
And it is not the only limitation that we will find when using this tool. As much as we try to be shown suggested emoji of all those on Gboard, the truth is that there are combinations of stickers that will not give us any results. In that case, the keyboard itself will notify us in the bar that we can see in the following photograph.
In addition, it is important to note that these combinations can only be accessed from the Gboard emoji menu. This means that it will not be possible to enter from the emoji menu of each app. Although, the positive side is that they can be used in any messaging application that allows the use of the Google keyboard. For example, in Chrome it won’t let us, but in WhatsApp it lets us use it without problems.
How do I disable it?
In the event that you do not want this option to appear by default in the different smartphone applications that allow it, you can always deactivate the Gboard combination. To do this, it will suffice to undo the steps that we followed previously and explained above. Therefore, at disable emoji stickersit will stop showing us suggestions.
An app as an alternative
If you have known little about the emoji options that the Google keyboard allows you to create, we can always get to use an application that adds new Emojiseach one more surprising than the last.
In our case, we have tested the app Emoji Keyboard – GIFS, Stickers. Once we install it, we must enter the application itself and establish this software that we have just downloaded on the Android mobile as the input method. As we see in the following image.
Afterwards, we will only have to see everything new that you add. Therefore, when entering any app where the keyboard is displayed, we will see the new emojis, GIFS and stickers that this application adds to our Android phone. Also, if the idea has not convinced you very much, by deleting the app from the smartphone, it will be removed from the terminal and the previous keyboard that we had configured by default on the device will be put back on. So we will not have to adjust anything manually.
