After several months in development, voice states in whatsapp came as part of the five novelties that came to this type of publication in the messaging app. Since the announcement, the feature is being rolled out to all users.
If you have something to say in your WhatsApp statuses but you don’t feel like recording a video, the new statuses with audio have arrived as a way to send audios indiscriminately to whoever consults your statuses. we tell you how the new WhatsApp audio states work.
Post WhatsApp audios as statuses
WhatsApp announced a few days ago a package of improvements for its status function. Some of them had been timidly being deployed among beta users for some time, but now we have confirmation that they they will end up reaching everyonebeta or not, in the coming weeks.
The audio statuses are perhaps the most interesting novelty, since until now WhatsApp allowed us to publish texts, photos or videos. add up now voice notesalthough it could be said that it is a bit hidden, because to create a voice status you must press the pencil icon (which sometimes changes to the microphone), in the tab of state.
The creation of a text status and a voice status is done from the same screen, but if you write text you will not be able to record audio and if you record audio you will not be able to write text. With empty text, the send icon changes to a microphone. Press it to start recording your message.
WhatsApp status voice recorder does not have hands-free mode, so you need to hold the button down while recording, and as soon as you stop, the recording will end. you can’t stop and continue recording later.
When the recording ends you can play your audio before sharing, as well as change the background color with the color palette button at the top of the screen. As always, you can edit the privacy of the status -that is, who will be able to see it- by touching the button that appears at the bottom of the window.
If you are happy with what you have just recorded, press the send button and it will be shared with your WhatsApp contacts, who will see it as another status. When other people open these types of statuses, plays automaticallyas if it were a video.
As always, you can find out who has seen your status (or listened, in this case) by tapping on the icon at the bottom. These are all the necessary steps to create an audio state on WhatsApp:
- Open the tab state on whatsapp
- Press the floating button on the pen (or microphone)
- Hold down the microphone button and record your voice
- Release the button, preview the audio (if you want) and hit the send button to post it
