Huawei unveiled its brand new products at a major conference in Dubai. Among them, the MateBook
Huawei is thinking big for the year 2024. The Chinese brand held a conference in Dubai to present its new products. In addition to the Pura 70 smartphones and its Watch connected watches, it has lifted the veil on its brand new laptop PC, the MateBook X Pro.
The MateBook this is Huawei’s premium computer, its flagship ultra portable which focuses on both its power and its lightness. This 2024 model takes up what made the range successful, with a 14.2-inch screen (this time OLED and 120 Hz) and a sober design that is somewhat reminiscent of Apple’s MacBooks. Three colors are available: blue, black and white.
Huawei focuses on lightness for its MateBook X Pro
This MateBook X Pro is equipped with the latest Intel processors, up to Intel Core Ultra 9 (TDP 40W). This is the only laptop on the market with this CPU to weigh less than a kilo, since on the scale, it displays 980 grams. Add to that that it’s only 13.5mm thick, which, in theory, makes it extremely mobile. The primary purpose of an ultra-portable, in short. It has a 70 Wh battery for an announced autonomy of 11 hours in video playback. For charging, the brand relies on a 90 Watt charger. For the moment, Huawei has not given a price for its baby, but has indicated that it will be available in France in June.

In addition to the PC, Huawei presented a new tablet, the MatePad 11.5S. This is an improvement on the MatePad 11.5 released last year. It has an 11.5-inch PaperMatte screen (a panel that limits reflections and makes writing with a stylus more pleasant) with a 2.8K resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Huawei did not give many details, such as the processor, but we know that it will run on Harmony OS, will be equipped with an 8000 mAh battery and that it will benefit from its GoPaint application, a creative tool on which a lot is relying the constructor. The MatePad 11.5S currently has no price or release date. More details will be given later.
In short, interesting products on paper, notably the MateBook X Pro which has not had the right to a new version since 2022.
