Yesterday we presented to you what is (for now) the last great novelty of artificial intelligence in this absolutely crazy year in this field of technology: ChatGPT, a conversational AI that answers our questions with impressive precision and creativity. In said article, we echoed a teacher who stated that ChatGPT’s response to the statement of one of the exercises that he usually sends to his students would have obtained the highest grade.
and some users they wonder Now where does that leave the teachers:
“Teachers, if GPT-3 or ChatGPT or Codex or whatever can easily get you an A on all of your exams, then you’re not asking your students interesting enough questions.”
For his part, Daniel Suskind, author of the book ‘The future of the professions’, it states yes teachers are not radically rethinking how they do their work – at any educational level – are not paying enough attention to AI. It seems likely that take-home jobs will be unfeasible a decade from now.”
If teachers are not radically re-thinking how they set work — at any level of education — they are not paying enough attention to AI. It seems likely that take-home work will be infeasible within a decade. Look at @OpenAI‘s ChatGPT released today. — https://t.co/Mc3Ip4xdQd

Nevertheless, the issue of ‘homework’ is, perhaps, the least relevant of the challenges posed by this novel AI. Victoriano Izquierdo co-founder and CEO of Graphext (a Spanish startup that seeks to use AI to overcome the old spreadsheet) is very blunt about the new conversational AI of OpenAI, ChatGPT:
“I think Google and teachers are dead as a source of consultation. I have tested many examples and ChatGPT was 100 times better than Google.”
His tweet illustrates this with a question about how to visualize two categorical variables with high cardinality, to which ChatGPT answers with a short but concise explanation., while Google only refers us to an article with a much more general approach. And if ChatGPT’s answer hadn’t been accurate enough, I would have always there has been the option of asking questions, insisting and better refining our question.

ChatGPT as a doubt solver
ChatGPT threatens to be the new point of reference when seeking to solve our doubts and gather information. If it was already said (somewhat unfairly) that Google had advanced the teachers themselves in this sense, ChatGPT could now make the sorpasso a reality. Because, unlike the leading search engine, it does not limit itself to filtering information that is already available, but rather is able to make from it. We can, for example, ask about the differences between two concepts, and not limit ourselves to reading the definitions of both.
Other users have dedicated themselves to asking ChatGPT to explain certain complex topics (such as quantum mechanics or integrals) “as if I were five years old”. His conclusion? “I wish ChatGPT had been my teacher in high school.”

Ivan Zhou, Machine Learning Engineer at Landing AI, says that ChatGPT “provides surprisingly good answers on computing, machine learning, and engineering topics. I’m comfortable using their answers with only minor editing. It’s like having a personal teacher that is always available in your pocket“.

Author and entrepreneur Varun Mayya it statesmeanwhile, that ChatGPT, will be the ‘Google killer’ “when allowed to connect to the Internet and crawl the web”. While Nat Friedman, CEO of GitHub, wonders Yes
“Is ChatGPT enough of an incentive for Google to get its act together now? Or will it remain dormant?”
Another tweeter shows us your idea of what ‘searches’ will look like from now on:
“If anything can beat Google search, it might be something like this”
Playing around with ChatGPT just released by @OpenAI.
It’s like GPT-3 but in an easy to use interface (just chat with it).
I ask it how to make a million dollars, to write lines of code for me and more.
