The iPhone 14 has two problems
These last few weeks have been somewhat worrying for Apple given the incessant reports by users and it is that the headquarters of the American company must be working ceaselessly to end this situation as soon as possible. Failures when calling in CarPlay, AirDrop does not send files, freezes when migrating data…
They are all problems for the iPhone 14 series, but almost all are the fault of iOS 16, although Shen Yiren has not hesitated to affirm that it is the worst operating system version of the Cupertino brand in many years. The Vice President of OPPO affirms that, with this version, the mobile gets too hot and receives a very poor signal. On the other hand, he points out that other inexplicable errors arise for which he has been forced to change his main smartphone.
The truth is that iOS 16 is receiving a lot of criticism from users with an iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and earlier, who have reported that the battery life has decreased considerably on their devices. Another negative aspect is that they overheat quite a bit during the charging processto such an extent that the mobile automatically stops charging until the temperature is reduced.

In addition, today a problem with the battery of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max has been reported. restart randomly on full load. From Apple they report that the only emergency solution until a version of iOS 16 that fixes the problem is to disable the update of applications in the background. Other users indicate that the new generation of Apple smartphones switches on its own between 4G, 5G and WiFi networks; while some owners point out that it is physically impossible to use the double eSIM.
What is the solution for now
Throughout this publication we have made it clear on numerous occasions that the trigger for almost all problems is iOS 16. So the only possible solution is go back to a previous version of the operating system. This is something much more common than it seems, especially on Android, but in Apple’s software there is also the possibility of going back and these are the steps you must follow:
- Put your iPhone on DFU-mode. To do this you have to press and release the volume up button very quickly, repeat the same with the volume down button and, finally, press and hold the power button. You’ll know you’ve done it right if a window pops up saying to connect your iPhone to a PC.
- Now you have to download the IPSW software file from your computer. This is as simple as going to ipsw.me and selecting the iPhone model in question. Tap on the version of iOS you want to download and install and wait for the process to finish.
- Connect your iPhone to PC and open Finder (Mac with macOS Catalina) or iTunes (Mac with macOS Mojave or PC with Windows).
- Go to the tab related to your iPhone on the left and click on “Restore”.
- Choose the IPSW file that you have previously downloaded and wait for it to finish.
Be careful, it is very important not to disconnect the iPhone during the process, as well as to point out that going back to a previous version of iOS 16 on the iPhone 14 it may not be optimal. Mainly because the new generation may not be quite ready.
