Crash Detection API
One of the new functions of the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch Series is detecting accidents. This feature uses the new accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to detect a potential car accident, causing the device to automatically call an emergency service.
According to 9to5MaciOS 16 RC includes a new Crash Detection API so that third-party apps can request access to the feature. It’s unclear exactly how the API works, but Apple could let developers integrate crash detection with their apps.
Boot sound for iPhone 14 Pro
In true Mac style, the new iPhone 14 Pro include the option to sound a curious chime when they start. iOS 16 allows iPhone to play a sound whenever the device is turned on or off as part of accessibility features.
The function is only supported by iPhone 14 Pro because it is exclusive to the A16 Bionic chip. The sound is played during the boot process, so it is unique to this chip.

New settings for AirPods Pro 2
