The final version of iOS 17.2 and the updates to other Apple operating systems delivered yesterday contain many new functions… but not all! Two new products will await better days next year.
With iOS 17.2 and other major updates to Apple's OS, the manufacturer delivered a big Christmas gift early to its users. The new features are indeed numerous and nice, from the Journal application to note your thoughts, to the recording of spatial videos for the Vision Pro, or even the improvement in the automatic filling of PDF forms. This is all well and good.

But now, the roadmap presented by Apple last June during the presentation of iOS 17 at WWDC is not quite complete. Two functions are still missing for subscribers, and from now on they will only be offered in 2024! First of all, there is AirPlay for hotels, which allows compatible TVs to display content from an iPhone with AirPlay (on compatible TVs, that is). No need to carry an Apple TV in your suitcase anymore!
LG is partnering with the Apple firm in this story, with its Pro:Centric Smart Hotel range supposed to support AirPlay. Apple had promised availability “ before the end of the year at select hotels, starting with IHG Hotels & Resorts “. It missed !

Another feature that better players will expect: collaborative Apple Music playlists. The idea is to invite loved ones to join a playlist and to enrich and reorganize it. It appeared in the first betas of iOS 17.2, before disappearing completely, apparently due to a problem of abuse and spam. Here too you will have to wait until next year to be entitled to it.
