Every year, the same question comes to the fore: “Will new iPhone prices go up?”, if some rumors have assured that not, other indiscretions affirm the opposite. One of the most trusted analysts in Apple product leaks is confident that there will be a price hike on the iPhone 14 lineup.
The iPhone 14 will see their prices evolve
Raise iPhone 14 prices to avoid hitting the profit margin? Apple sure will, according to Kuo.
Like all other smartphone manufacturers, Apple is facing a consequent evolution the manufacturing cost of its iPhone, the company then has two choices:
- Maintaining the same price list as the iPhone 13 range and sacrificing several dollars of its profit margin
- Raise the prices of the iPhone 14 range and maintain its profit margin
When we know that iPhone revenues are the most important in the financial results unveiled at the end of each quarter to investors, it is obvious that for Apple, generosity will not be up to date.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 will see their prices increase by 10 to 15% compared to the latest models currently on the market. Here’s what to expect if that’s a 10% increase:
- The iPhone 14 would be available from €889.90
- The iPhone 14 Max would be available from 999€
- The iPhone 14 Pro would be available from 1274€
- The iPhone 14 Pro Max would be available from 1384€
These prices are compared to current iPhone 13 prices and include French VAT. Of course, these are still estimates.
Let’s hope that Ming-Chi Kuo is wrong and that the price increases will not take place on the iPhone 14 range…

Hon Hai/Foxconn is one of the winners of the increased ASP of iPhone 14 series. I estimated iPhone 14 series ASP would increase by about 15% (vs. iPhone 13 series ASP) to $1,000-1,050 (USD) due to two iPhone 14 Pro’s price hikes & higher shipment proportion. https://t.co/UgiW0kom4F— 郭明錤 (Ming-Chi Kuo) (@mingchikuo) August 10, 2022
