Kaos Jammer it’s a usb flash drive for hackers able to hack wifi networks. It had been financed on KickStarter, but its sale has been suspended, because its legality is unclear.
We know that hackers have their good side and their dark side, and sometimes the fine line that separates both sides of the same coin is not clear at all.
Kaos Jammer It is a USB stick for hackers with which you can take down WiFi networks remotely. You can access any Wi-Fi network when it detects your signal, and disavow it, which cuts the connection. It is what is technically called wifi deauthenticator.
It is also capable of detecting any WiFi network, even if it is hidden, and identify the devices that connect to it. You can see how it works in the opening video of the news.

Its creators sought funding on KickStarter, presenting it as a “security tool” for “test Wi-Fi networks“, and a device”educational“, since it included several tutorials to learn how WiFi networks work, and how to hack them.
It also allows measure wifi signal strengthso it is useful to know where to put the router, or an access point.
Technically, it is true that it can be used as a security tool. It is possible to use it for test if a WiFi network is secure. But it can also be used to cause chaos, as its name suggests, disabling any Wi-Fi network within reach.
It was sold in two versions. The usb version, lined with vinyl and waterproof, required connect the flash drive to the current. The version with portable battery, eliminated this problem. It can be managed remotely from the mobile, since it has integrated WiFi.
It was sold on KickStarter at a price of 50 euros, and it had been funded in just a few minutes. But shortly after opening the financing process, KickStarter has decided to discontinue it. Probably because it is not clear whether it is a legal tool.
