This project was entrusted to Mindhouse, a television production company. It will examine the rise of the social network and what it has changed in social interactions across the planet. During these 20 years, the Facebook company has been the subject of many scandals, and it is logical to imagine that this documentary will address them.
20 years after the launch of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg remains very ambitious
Quoted by our colleagues from‘EngadgetNancy Strang, creative director of Mindhouse, started teasing this program:
The remarkable story of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook is one of the great stories of our time. He has arguably done more to transform human behaviors and interactions than anyone else in this century. I am delighted that we have been given the opportunity to tell the extraordinary story of the social media giant and the man behind it.
Of course, moviegoers remember the film The Social Network signed David Fincher, where you could follow the backstage of the creation of Facebook. However, it seems that the documentary will address a little more the social consequences of the arrival of the social network and will focus less on the personal relationships between the company’s leaders.
Anyway, and almost 20 years later, Mark Zuckerberg has lost none of his initial ambition. He now firmly believes in the possibilities of the metaverse, this embodied Internet that everyone can access via virtual reality. This could open up new possibilities in terms of telework, e-commerce, sport, or even culture. However, many doubt the sustainability of such a project, but that does not undermine the optimism of the founder of Facebook.
