For Microsoft, continuing to innovate in its new operating system is vital, now it is improving its 3D emojis.
These already have a version that was talked about a lot, since they were 2D emojis, but now they are working on a different edition.
3D Emojis a new feature for W11
One of Microsoft’s most prominent designers, Nando Costa, announced through a blog that the company is designing 3D emojis.
All this as a result of the hackathon they carried out two years ago, in order to create a better way for W11 users to interact.
On the other hand, the designer, when responding to a tweet from a follower, asking for 3D emojis, to which Costa only replied “we are working on it”.
No specific release date for modern emojis
Despite the announcements and responses, there is no estimated date for the new version of the 3D emojis of W11, although according to rumors, it is expected in the middle of the year.
On the other hand, it is also known that the 2D version will have a 3D edition on all emojis, which is still an original version of Microsoft.
In recent weeks we learned what some 3D emojis would look like, where Microsoft itself commented that these would only be part of Windows 11.
From 2D to 3D, why the changes?
With the continuous announcements of W11 to the entire community, it had been said that the 3D emojis would arrive with an update, unfortunately this was not the case.
This is how without prior notice, instead of providing 3D emojis, the company launched a series of designs only in two dimensions.
This can mainly be due to the fact that there are many applications that are compatible with these, and relatively few with 3D.
More details and better designed
According to Nando Costa, Microsoft decided to work in more detail with 3D emojis, to be able to reflect even more things than a 2D one.
In this sense, it is explained that now more human qualities can be seen, from wrinkles to modern hairstyles.
And it is expected that these can be used in the company’s own applications, such as Microsoft Teams, which were conceived for the new normality of remote work.
