The first thing that shines in the new Motorola Edge 50 Pro is its screen, a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with “super HD” resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels, with 446 pixels per inch), and a 144Hz refresh rate. While the Edge 40 Pro had a 165Hz refresh rate, the new Edge 50 Pro’s 144Hz is still extremely fast for both daily use and especially gaming.
In addition, the new “Pro” has a maximum brightness level of 2,000 nitshigher than the maximum 1,300 nits of the Edge 40 Pro. In other words, content on the Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s screen should be viewed without problems even in summer sunlight.
Inside, the Edge 50 Pro has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 accompanied by 12 GB of RAM, in addition to 512 GB of storage capacity. It also has support for Bluetooth 5.4 and Snapdragon Sound technology. Also in terms of audio, it has a system of two stereo speakers certified by Dolby Atmos.
In the photographic section, the Edge 50 Pro has a system of three sensors in its main camera, including a 50 MP main sensor with f/1.4 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 13 MP ultra-wide angle with f/2.2 aperture and support for Macro mode, and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and OIS. Its front camera is 50 MP with f/1.9 aperture.
Motorola has also included some interesting software improvements for both photo capture and video recording, based on artificial intelligence. The Edge 50 Pro is powered by the new Photo Enhancement Engine, which Motorola explains makes it easier to take great photos “with every camera shot.” In addition, the new mobile phone has the Adaptive Stabilization and Auto Focus Tracking systems, which offer better stabilization and autofocus thanks to the use of AI.
Finally, the Edge 50 Pro has a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W super fast wired charging, and 50W wireless fast charging, as well as support for 10W reverse charging.
