For a few years now, within the blue operator, we had the possibility of requesting a loan with its service Movistar Money. But, for this, one of the main requirements that the company set was that we had to be customers. However, this has changed from now on, as this operator service will also be available to non-customers.
It has been a while since its release, and during this time, we have witnessed different changes and news in this particular service provided by the operator. One of its main characteristics is the simplicity with which it can be requested. However, from now on, the operator opens this service for those who are not customers. In addition, we are facing a service that reached, in 2022, 60 million euros of loaned capital, multiplying by three the amount of 2021.
Movistar Money for everyone
This blue operator service has renewed two conditions in particular. The first is the possibility of requesting a personal loan from a minimum of 1,000 euros (previously it was 2,000 euros). However, the change that really draws attention to this service is that, from now on, you don’t have to be a customer to request a loan in Movistar.
In this way, as established by the operator, whether or not you are a Movistar customer, you can now request 100% online and in less than two days, a loan from 1,000 euros to 10,000 euros. And it must be taken into account that the interest rate will be adapted depending on the profile of the user who wants the loan, although it goes at all times from the 6.14% NIR.
In addition, from the telephone company, they assure that ‘the good reception by customers of an agile, highly competitive and totally digital value proposition drives the expansion of the public that can request this financing formula‘. So this has been the main reason that Movistar Money is available to everyone, customers or non-customers.
Loans from 1,000 euros
Previously, the minimum that had to be requested in this blue operator service was 2,000 euros. However, with this change in its conditions, is lowered to 1,000 euros the loans. This is due to the following, according to Movistar: ‘the reduction of the minimum loan to 1,000 euros, Movistar responds to a growing demand for low-value consumer loans‘.
In addition, the user who wishes to request a loan in Movistar Money may have the option of take out payment protection insurance that will cover the loan installments or the balance pending amortization in the event of temporary disability, unemployment, hospitalization, disability or death.
These two novelties are added to those that we already saw during the past year, when the blue operator decided to raise the maximum money that could be requested from 7,000 euros to the current 10,000 euros. Therefore, as we have been saying, this operator loan service has been renewed over the years, since we are dealing with a service that launched in April 2019.
