Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reportedly again offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share, the same price he originally proposed before closing a $44 billion acquisition deal in April this year. According to Bloomberg, Musk has sent a letter to Twitter offering to buy the micro-blogging platform at the price originally proposed. The move, if true, has caused confusion in the minds of millions as Musk -Twitter legal battle is about to start in US court from October 17. Twitter or Musk did not comment on the report. As The Verge reports, trading of Twitter shares was temporarily halted. The new report comes at a time when a new deal of exchange between Musk and executives such as Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal and Jack Dorsey is in the public domain. Twitter shareholders have already voted to approve Musk’s $44 billion takeover bid. The vote comes as Musk’s core team is in a courtroom battle to pull out of the deal. confirmed that preliminary counts show it has enough votes to approve the deal.
The approval meant that Musk and Twitter would move to an October trial in the Delaware Court of Chancery. The world’s richest man also texted Oracle’s chairman and CTO Larry Ellison all night before deciding to terminate a $44 billion Twitter acquisition deal in May.
