After the massively successful launch of Splatoon 3, the Japanese giant has released a big update for the Nintendo Switch Online companion app on iOS and Android. This application released in 2017 was very limited and not really worth using at launch, but it has gradually gained in usefulness. The one that allows you to check your connected friends, games or even your Nintendo profile is now up to version 2.3.0 with, in particular, the home screen widgets for the game Splatoon 3. These allow you to view your match logs, current gear, stage rotation schedule, and in-game photo album. This feature is available on iPadOS and iOS.

If you haven’t picked up Splatoon 3 yet, this new chapter offers more an evolution than a revolution of this fantastic series. If the whole is very close to the previous opus, the new solo mode and the new weapons bring what it takes to revive interest.
Outside of new Splatoon 3 features and widgets, the app still supports game-specific features in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and more with voice chat if you don’t have access to another equipped device. from Discord.
