The 2023 Nissan X-Trail arrives at Mexico like a whole new generation that definitely improves where it needed it most, but at the same time maintains certain things that we already knew. Below we explain its details.
New image
Just as it happened with Pathfinder, the new generation of the X-Trail completely transforms its image with much more square shapes that seek that robust and rude look that has been so popular lately in all segments. There will be two-tone body options, 17″ to 19″ wheels, panoramic roof and LED lighting at both ends. The most characteristic feature of his image is undoubtedly the V-Motion grill Of the brand.
Much more refined and connected
The interior is also surprising and it is that Nissan X-Trail is completely transformed, choosing a path that prioritizes the comfort and refinement. Now there are more materials that are soft to the touch and square shapes to match what we already see on the outside. In general, it is more solid, but without treading on higher category ground.
The equipment will be more than varied throughout the range, because at least in connectivity we will have touchscreens from among 8″ to 12.3″ compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nissan Connected Services —to have certain information and control of the van from our cell phone—, wireless charger for cell phones, multiple USB ports, instrument panel with a 7″ or fully digital 12.3″ screen, among others.
Comfort will be in charge of leather or cloth seats, with electric adjustment in some cases, bose audio systemhead up display, electric trunk opening, among many other things.
Something worth noting is the security and it is that as standard all the new generation X-Trail in Mexico will be able to carry: 6 airbags, ABS brakes, electronic stability control, hill climb assistant, reversing camera, autonomous emergency brake, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, among others. In certain variants there will be up to a 360º vision camera.
An acquaintance of the past generation
Under the hood we have a well-known engine, in fact, the base is that of the last generation, but with some adjustments to improve response and efficiency. It’s about a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine. This block will deliver 180 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. It only has front-wheel drive, while its transmission is a CVT.
