Meta-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram has announced that it is rolling out new features and updates to Reels, including cross-posting from Instagram to Facebook, aimed at enhancing the user experience. Adam Mosseri, head of the photo-sharing platform on microblogging site Twitter, announced the new update to Reels. Mosseri captioned the posted video, “We are launching some new reel features to make it easier for people to find it and share more entertaining content.” With the tap of a button, the new update allows users to cross-post reels from Instagram to Facebook. Mosseri also mentioned that the Add Yours sticker, which became popular in Stories, is now coming to the reels on Instagram and Facebook. All eligible creators on the platform will soon have access to the Facebook stars tipping function. They will also have access to more reel insights through the Creator Studio. Meanwhile, recently, the Meta-owned platform has confirmed that it will soon start testing the new ultra-tall photos. The company said it will introduce support for images with slimmer, taller 9:16 screen ratios, allowing them to fill the entire screen as users scroll through the app’s feed. –IANS
