The company built the two GPUs with the next generation Ada Locelace architecture and the RTX 4090 will ship with 24GB of GDDR6X memory and is 2-4x faster than the RTX 3090 Ti.
The device will consume the same amount of power as the previous generation card but with much better performance, although the company recommends a power supply of at least 850 V.
Nvidia and the entrails of its new GPUs
Nvidia integrated into its new RTX 4090 16,384 CUDA cores as well as a base clock of 2.23 GHz that increases to 2.52 GHz, accompanied by 1,321 Tensor-TFLOPs, 191 RT-TFLOPs and 83 Shader-TFLOPs.
The company will offer its other RTX 4080 card in two models that will have 12 and 16 GB, with the 12 GB costing $899 (18,000 pesos) and will include 7,680 CUDA cores.
The 16GB device will increase in price to $1,199 (24,000 pesos) but will be more powerful with 9,728 CUDA cores, a base clock of 2.21GHz that increases to 2.51GHz.
Nvidia will include in its three new RTX 40 series cards the new ShadowPlay support to capture games with a resolution of up to 8K at 60 FPS in HDR.
The company improved its GPUs and it seems that it will continue to lead this market for a long time, seeking to recover sales that it has lost in recent years with its new models and without having shortage problems that affected the industry so much due to the pandemic and the closures in all the world.
