The return of one of the most bloodthirsty robots in the seventh art could be imminent.
Without a doubt, we have seen some of the best robots that have graced the big screen in one of the sagas that made good old Arnold Schwarzenegger known. Yes, you are reading correctly. It seems that ‘Terminator’ will return and it will do so in a format never explored until now, with the novelty of anime and through one of the major streaming platforms, Netflix.
He said he would return and he will do it on Netflix
The news, as you can see in the publication that we leave you below these lines, states that we will see a animated series about the endless fight between human beings and artificial intelligence, in what will be a new chapter of the war that brings us face to face with the machines since 1984 and about which it seems that we have not yet seen the definitive outcome.

Little is known about the plot on which the anime that will be produced by Netflix will revolve, but according to Variety, the story could begin as follows:
2022: A future war has been going on for decades, pitting the few human survivors against an endless army of machines. 1997: The AI known as Skynet gained self-awareness and began its war against humanity. Trapped between the future and the past is a soldier who is sent back in time to change the destiny of humanity. She will arrive in 1997 to protect a scientist named Malcolm Lee, who is working on launching a new AI system designed to compete with Skynet and prevent the attack on humanity. As Malcolm navigates the moral complexity of his creation, he is hunted by a ruthless killer from the future, who will forever alter the fate of his three children.

Matt Tomlin will be the showrunner of this anime and is enthusiastic about the idea of continuing to expand a science fiction universe, which is already made up of movies, books, comics and video games. Matt anticipates an epic series in this animated project, which will return the ‘Terminator’ saga to the forefront:
Anyone who knows my writing knows that I believe in taking big turns and going straight to the heart. I feel honored that Netflix and Skydance have given me the opportunity to approach ‘Terminator’ in a way that breaks conventions, subverts expectations and with real guts.
