When Android 14 is official and stable, Samsung must prepare its update and customization layer. This year we will see the company update its devices to Android 14 and One UI 6.0. If you have a smartphone compatible with this big update it is important that you know the design changes that will arrive. We already know the supposed news that Samsung is working on. They have to do with the lock screen and they are very interesting.
This is how the Samsung lock screen will change with One UI 6
Various rumors and leaks are pointing to two important changes in Samsung mobiles. When they upgrade to One UI 6.0 Two news related to the lock screen could arrive. It is almost impossible not to notice that they are based on the IOS update for the latest iPhone.
New Always On Display: this feature will remain as before, but could integrate a new option to dim the lock screen. That is to say, the Always On Display would no longer be a modified screen with certain elements such as the time, notifications and little else. this would be a grayed out version of lock screen that would always be on.
Widgets on the lock screen: the second novelty integrates widgets on lock screen. This is not something new, as these have already been available for some time. The real news is that these widgets will be the same ones available in the main interface. That is, Samsung would put aside the specific widgets to be able to place any that you already have available. In this way, the lock screen gains a lot of versatility and design possibilities.
There are several sources confirming that Samsung is working to integrate both options in One UI 6.0. This update will come after summer, or at the earliest at the end of it. Depending on the Samsung mobile you have, it could take more or less to update.
